Many point to a 2001 sex tape as the catalyst for the R&B star’s 2021 conviction. In a tape involving a teenage Reshonda Landfair, R. Kelly allegedly urinated on her in the film. But despite the severity of the crimes committed on camera, many people made light of the sex tape. And used it as a viral moment. One of those people was comedian Dave Chappelle.
R. Kelly Victim Felt ‘Humiliated’ By Chappelle Skit
On his hit television show The Chappelle Show, Chappelle spoofed the sex tape into a music video. Called “Pee on You.”
“Haters wanna hate, lovers wanna love. I don’t even want none of the above, I want to pee on you,” he raps in the lyrics.
The satirical sketch provided a pop culture moment for viewers of the program. But Landfair says that she was further “humiliated” during one of the roughest points of her life.
“I felt terrified,” she said during a recent appearance on the Joy Reid Show. “I felt very embarrassed and very confused. Because something that was so vulnerable for me was humorous and a mockery to the world. And it really just exposed me and made me feel humiliated.”
Chappelle has a knack for making light of these types of situations. During his most recent Netflix stand-up, The Unstoppable, one of the topics that Chappelle addressed was the downfall of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Diddy was convicted of interstate prostitution in May 2025.
During the standup, Chappelle admitted to attending a Diddy party. But he clarified that he never saw any of the heinous acts Diddy was accused of. But he did recall a time where the Bad Boy Records founder asked what he was “into,” to which he jokingly responded, “books and video games.” He then said that he had no idea that was his “big chance to f**k Cassie,” Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, who he was accused of trafficking.
At the time of writing, Dave Chappelle has not responded to Landfair’s comments.
