Ray J is back up to his usual social media antics. And he has targeted hip-hop royalty with his latest rant. In his most recent social media video, he revealed that he had a bone to pick with Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
Ray J Calls Out Jay-Z & Beyonce Over Brandy Slight
Ray J’s sister, Brandy, is currently co-headlining the “The Boy Is Mine” tour with R&B star Monica. And despite attending “six or seven” of the tour dates, Ray J says that Jay and Bey have failed to acknowledge Brandy. Which he says he has taken a serious issue with.
“N****a need to pull up when they pull up to the show,” said Ray J in a video posted to his social media account on Tuesday (December 2). “Come on, say ‘what’s up’ to Brandy. JAY-Z and Beyonce, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B. I don’t like that. Y’all walk by Brand’s room and never say what’s up.”
In the caption of the post, Ray J made it clear that Brandy did not tell him to make the video. It was all his doing. He also wanted to make it known that he was not trying to be malicious toward the Grammy winners in any way. And that the message was “coming from the heart.”
“THIS IS COMING FROM THE HEART!! And I LOVE MY FAMILY, AND I LOVE JAY AND BEY!! ——BRANDY AND THE FAMILY DID NOT CO-SIGN THIS! – SHE’S SUPER FOCUSED ON MAKING EVERY SHOW GREAT! -I WILL PROB GET IN TROUBLE FOR THIS!! – BUT I LOVE JAY Z AND BEY!!” the caption reads.
Contrary to most of his social media posts, people in the comments section agreed with Ray J.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I agree with Ray J. Brandy deserves the same respect,” one user said.
“He ain’t said Nothin wrong! Respect,” another user added.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have not responded to Ray J’s post.
