Over the weekend Ray J debuted a new hairstyle. His new cut is similar to the legendary rap group Kid & Play, rocking an extremely high-top fade. Much different from Ray’s usual close cut.

Artist Gets Candid on Relationship With Diddy
With Ray J having such an extensive career in both the music and television industry he has been linked to some of the top tastemakers—one of those tastemakers is Bad Boy Founder, P. Diddy. Diddy came under fire in 2024 after a video showed him assaulting his former girlfriend and label artist, Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby in 2016.
In the footage, Combs strikes Cassie several times while chasing her down the lobby before ultimately dragging her into the hotel room. After seeing the video, Ray J said he believes Diddy deserves physical punishment.
“That’s something else. Bare knuckles. The homie needs a public whipping. That’s the only way it’s gon’ be right, with a public whipping,” he said.
“1,000 lashes from everybody that you’ve slain and hurt — publicly,” he said. “1,000, that would help, 1,000 lashes made by you, somebody your size that’s gon’ give it to him. Not my size. My arm hurts. Your size, n***a ain’t gon make it past nine.”
Ray J also added that no matter what the outcome is for Puffy going forward, he doesn’t believe he can ever rekindle his relationship with the Bad Boy Founder.
“I can forgive from afar but, like, I’m not saying what’s up to Puff like that ever again,” he added. “It’s not cool like that, so shouldn’t it be like that with every other n***a that has even remotely played around with that kind of situation and been involved with even the smallest amount, right?”
