The coastal beef between the East and the West has officially been reignited. TDE artist Ray Vaughn and New York City rapper Joey Badass have been engaged in a rap feud for the better part of this year. And now rap artist, Will Smith, has been dragged into it.

Joey unleashed on Ray Vaughnn on a new single titled ABK. However, the TDE star seemed less than impressed with Badass’s new song. In a recent social media post, Vaughn likened Joey’s verse on “ABK” to Will Smith’s freestyle on “Lyrical Lemonade,” which earned him heavy backlash earlier this year.

Of course, social media users had a lot to say about Ray Vaughn’s response.
“Let it go, bro. He cooked all of y’all. You put up a good fight though, it’s just levels,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“If Will Smith steps out on you behind this, we can’t protect ya champ,” another user added.
Earlier this year, Smith returned to the studio. The former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star’s latest project, Based on a True Story, was released on March 28.
It had been nearly 20 years since Smith dropped an album. He stepped away from the music scene for a while after becoming one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood in the late ’90s and 2000s. The Oscar winner revealed that he tapped Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z for advice about his return to the studio.
“Jay said, ‘Don’t fake your story.’ he was like, ‘You gotta say what’s true for you, and you’ll be looking at the younger rappers and you’ll want that to be true to you, but you don’t live like that. Be true to your story. Tell your story.’ And that’s where I got the ‘Based on a True Story,’ from Jay,” he said.
“And Kendrick said, ‘Man, just say that s–t you have always been f—ing scared to say.’”
