Redman in the eyes of many is considered a rap legend. And with his legendary status, he has collaborated with some of the most legendary artists of his time. Here are a few of his most notable collaborations.

Tupac Shakur

The late icon, Tupac Shakur did not work with many other artists. So to get a feature from Pac was considered a milestone for many up-and-coming artists. Redman is one of the members of that exclusive list. He was one of the collaborators on Tupac’s Got My Mind Made Up off his 1996 All Eyez on Me album.

During a recent episode of Drink Champs, Redman detailed what it was like meeting the late legend.

“I took pictures with ‘Pac and s**t. ‘Pac, he was cool as f**k, bottom line. You know, it’s certain mo**********s, you carry an aura about yourself,” Redman said. “Because you know that that person loves hip hop just as much as you do. So, it was always a mutual, good understanding when we saw each other, no red line or anything. My n***a.”

Method Man

Method Man and Redman are one of those rap duos who will forever be linked with each other. The two have created several classic albums together, including The Blackout and Live From Paris. The two tri-state artists would go on to become one of the most legendary duos of all time.

When asked about when he realized that he and Method Man were going to be special, Redman said it clicked for him during their first time on tour.

“We got really connected was on the ‘Month of the Man Tour.’ It was a smart idea, too, because we [both] came out with an album around the same time,” he said. “And we had the same kind of feel. So. it’s like, ‘F**k it. Why don’t we put these two together on the road and see what we create,’ and we were out there smashing s**t. And then, they came out with a Red and Meth song ‘How High’ and it just built from there, man.’”

If you are a younger hip-hop fan, you most likely only know Xzibit for his role as host of MTV’s classic show Pimp My Ride. But the OGs know X as one of the coldest rap stars of his time.

LL Cool J

Most people know LL Cool J as the smooth-talking, ladies man who always seems to keep his cool. But in reality, he is one of the coldest emcees to pick up a microphone. LL was involved in a heated rap beef with another Bronx emcee Canibus. The catalyst of that Beef was LL’s

1997 track, 4,3,21 off his Phemomenom album, which features Method Man and Redman. Both artists had solo verses. However, they did collaborate on the closing verse that ultimately set LL to take a shot at Canibus:

“Ayo, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven/Blaze the hot trizack, shine like Heaven/Seven, six, five, four, three, two, one/Come on Mr. Smith, come get some”
