Nicki Minaj’s alignment with the Donald Trump Administration is something that has taken everybody by surprise. And now Republic Records is speaking out about it.
Republic Records Speaks Out About Minaj’s Political Affiliations
In a statement to the Wall Street Journal earlier this week, Republic refused to comment directly about their client’s political affiliations. And said that their only concern is any new music that she has on the way.
“As Nicki Minaj’s record label, we do not comment on her political activities. When she’s ready to discuss music, she knows how to reach us,” she said as caught by Red Media on X.

Nicki was supposed to drop her next studio album this past March. But it’s no secret that she is not on the best of terms with her label. In one of her infamous social media rants on the night of the Grammys, she nixed her plans to drop her new album. And said that she nixed the project because she wants a new recording contract.
“Maybe it’s time for me to do some story times. Since I was trying not to say what I know, yet they continue to attempt bullying. Also, I won’t be releasing an album. Until my contract is renegotiated. And until I tell you about all the sabotage this RICO is finding out about Billboard,” Nicki wrote in a social media post on February 1.
Minaj has been signed to Republic Records since 2021. And is the founder of Heavy on It Records, which is a subsidiary of Republic.
At the time of writing, she has not responded to the recent statements made by her label.
