Kandi Burruss, former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA), and her husband Todd Tucker are parting ways after 11 years of marriage. In a heartfelt statement, Burruss shared that the decision came after “deep thought and a lot of prayer,” calling this “a difficult and emotional time.”
A Decade of Marriage, Business & Family
- The couple first met during the filming of RHOA Season 4 (2011), when Tucker worked as a line producer on the show.
- They got engaged in 2013 and were married in April 2014.
- Together, they have two children: son Ace (9) and daughter Blaze (5).
- They also blended family: Burruss has a daughter, Riley, from a previous relationship, and Tucker has a daughter, Kaela, from his previous relationship.
Building a Life Beyond Reality TV
While many know them from reality TV, their partnership extended far beyond the screen. Over the years, Kandi and Todd launched several business ventures together:
- A soul food restaurant chain in Georgia

Reflection, Respect & Co-Parenting
In her statement, Kandi emphasized that her focus now is on protecting her peace, being the best mother, and co-parenting with love and respect. She asked for privacy, grace, and understanding as she and Todd navigate this transition.
A Bittersweet Moment of Gratitude
Just days before the split news, Burruss accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon 2025. In her speech, she thanked Todd for standing by her through “the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies … the actual fights … the reunions.” It’s a reminder of how much they built together, both personally and professionally.
