Rick Ross Discusses Forthcoming Album ‘Set in Stone’
When discussing his 12th studio album, Rozay said that his main goal was to step out of the box and “challenge” himself musically.
“I challenged myself musically. That’s what the Renaissance is about, it’s not getting to a point where you feel you’re at a ceiling,” he said to the Daily Mail, as caught by AllHipHop.
He also added:
“Not only should I put out a dope album, but it should be f**king challenging any body of work I ever released. And so that’s what the challenge to myself was. So, a lot of the records that I put on it sonically and just the way I feel, you know, what the game needed as my contribution…. I’m gonna be excited the day it’s released.”
Rick Ross’s last solo album, Richer Than I Ever Been, dropped in 2021. The project debuted with approximately 30,000 equivalent album units in its first week and entered the Billboard 200 chart at #22 upon its release.
In 2023, he dropped a collaborative project with Meek Mill titled, Too Good to Be True. That album accrued around 35,000 equivalent units in its first week and debuted in the number 23 spot on the Billboard Hot 200.
Ross has not revealed a release date for the forthcoming project. But it will be interesting to see what the rap artist has in store, nonetheless.
Stay tuned for more updates.
