Fresh off his loss to French Montana in their Verzuz on Thursday night (May 7), Rick Ross appeared on Apple Music’s Rap Life Review. And one of the topics that came up was his relationship with Drake.
Rick Ross Extends Olive Branch to Drake
During his Verzuz set, Rick Ross declined to play Drake’s verse on Aston Martin Music. So, of course, Rozay was asked about their ongoing feud. And surprisingly, Ross extended an olive branch to the Grammy winner.
“Drake, if you listening to this homie, listen to me, my n***a.. shine I don’t wanna see you lose, nobody wanna see you lose. That ain’t what this Rap s**t is about, this culture this game that ain’t what it’s about,” the rap star said in a clip caught by Big_Business on X.
Rick Ross sends a message to Drake and says he still loves him while reminiscing the days they worked together:

He also seems to insinuate that French Montana is the person behind him, having a sudden change of heart.
“I don’t wanna see you lose real n****s just wanna shine together, wherever you at homie French Montana still f**s with you ain’t no funny s**t,” Ross continued. “We had the biggest n***as in the game on speed dial just on some one thousand s**t. I would love to throw in the times when you had the big nose, but we ain’t gonna go there. Shoutout to the homie French Montana riding for you.”
Ironically, French Montana was the driving force behind Ross’s issues with Drake back in 2024. The Maybach Music Group boss claimed that Drake refused to clear his verse on French Montana’s track Splash Brothers. He addressed Drake on his 2024 track Champagne Moments, and Drizzy fired back on his track, Push Ups.
It will be interesting to see what Drake’s response to Ross’s olive branch will be. Especially with his new album, Iceman, set to drop next Friday (May 15).
