Rick Ross is not about to let the media fool him when it comes to the recent claims surrounding boxing star Floyd Mayweather.

During a recent livestream, Rozay responded to the recent reports surrounding Mayweather’s alleged financial woes. And does not appear to be buying them.

Rick Ross Comes to Mayweather’s Defense

In a clip shared by 2Cool2Blog on X, the rap star encourages fans not to listen to the “rumors” surrounding the former boxing champ. Because Floy is worth more money than most can even fathom.

“Please don’t listen to the rumors. Lil Bro is worth way more money than you can imagine—any of your articles, whatever they’re coming with. You know I’m poppin money sh** so ya’ll got a few questions and other people too. But I’m just saying, ya’ll should stop the nonsense. It ain’t even about how much money he made, but how much money he’s gonna get. He is still the face of boxing. Talk about it.”

Rozay’s comments appeared to be in response to a June 16 report from ESPN. The report claimed that Mayweather was in legal trouble. After being accused of passing a bad check to purchase a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas. The complaint stems from a December 2024 incident where he purchased an Audemars Piguet watch from Gold & Beyond. A high-end resale boutique in Sin City.

That, combined with the several exhibition fights Floyd has participated in over the years, led many to believe Floyd is having financial troubles.

However, in a recent one-on-one with Cam’ron, he hit back against those claims.

“Nobody has taken none of my properties away from me,” he said. “I still got all my houses, I still got everything.. My mother, my whole family, their bills are still paid. Still pay all my employees.”
