Rap star Rick Ross is a known Miami Heat super fan. So, of course, he had a lot to say about Heat star Bam Adebayo’s historic performance earlier this week.
Rick Ross Claps Back at Adebayo Critics
On Tuesday (March 10), Adebayo dropped 83 points on the Washington Wizards. The second-most points scored in a single NBA game. However, the star big man caught a lot of backlash for the manner in which he scored his points. He racked up 43 attempts from the free-throw line.
However, amid the backlash, Rozay had a message for all of the Heat’s haters.
“I gotta say something about this Bam Adebayo scoring 83 points. First and foremost, it’s too much hate for a brother that put the 83 up,” Ross said in a recent social media post.
“He put it up. I know y’all want to say it’s A.I.,” Ross continued. “If you love Kobe, you love Kobe, you love Jordan, you love Wilt, whatever it is.”

Bam surpassed Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who previously held the record for second-most points with 81 back in 2006. Hall of Famer still holds the top spot with his record-setting 100-point performance back in 1963.
Following his performance, Bam also fired back at the critics.
“First of all, y’all are blaming me; you should be blaming their head coach,” Adebayo told reporters (via News18.com).
“Get that first. I was not the one letting me go one-on-one the whole game until I had 70. Then you started to send a double. At that point, I got 70 with, like, what, nine minutes left to go in the game. You think I’m not going for it?”
