“Lord please let her give us some new music before the next baby comes,” one user wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.
“She saw Taylor Swift tie her for most #1s and had to get back in the studio,” a second user added.
“I’ll support her. I just don’t want her to feel pressured. I appreciate her,” a third user chimed in.
Rihanna’s last album, ANTI, was released on January 28, 2016. It featured hit songs like Work, Needed Me, and Love on the Brain. The album ventured from her traditional pop style. That, combined with the fact that it was a Tidal exclusive release, equaled a slow start out of the gate as it debuted at number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, it eventually recovered in its second week. Selling 166,000 equivalent units. It has become one of the most coveted albums of all time.
As of January 2026, Anti holds the record for the most-certified album in track units by a Black female artist in U.S. history (52 million). It also recently hit another milestone, spending 500 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 200.
