Sexyy Red has a new lawsuit to deal with. The Midwest rapper has been served by her own child’s Grandma, after she allegedly told her fans to assault her.
Red’s child’s grandmother, Nicole Barnes claims Sexyy Red requested that her fans “kick in the door” to physically assault Barnes.
In response to the allegations, Sexyy Red rebuffed Barnes’ claims through her attorney Jason Lambert.
“The claims asserted in this case are baseless and completely without merit. Red categorically denies these allegations and looks forward to defending herself in court,” Lambert said.
Barnes claims that Sexyy Red hared a picture of her home and her address on her Facebook page, which has over 40K followers. Because of this alleged action she moved her family out of Hazelwood due to living in constant fear of retalliation.
She filed this lawsuit last year, but Red failed to respond to it. Because of this, Barnes is trying to get a default judgement of $5M, but it appears Red and her legal team are ready to fight back.

Latest On Sexyy Red
The rapper just dealt with a prior legal battle.
She sued Carl Thompson, her former head of security, stemming from a robbery that took place at a rental home in Florida back in 2025. She says that half a million dollars in luxury handbags and necklaces were stolen from the property.
A police investigation was launched in the aftermath, which determined that one single masked assailant was able to gain access to the mansion via an unlocked door. Red accused Thompson because he was the last person to leave the property before the incident.
However, there is an interesting twist to the story. According to a report from Complex, Thompson actually sued Sexyy Red first. In August 2025, Thompson filed a lawsuit over unpaid wages. Upon being hired, the security guard says that he was promised an annual salary of $180,000. And calculated that after working for the rap artist from May 2023 to August 2024, he should have made $285,000. But instead, he was only paid $204,000. And thus, he is seeking to be paid the remaining $81,000 he is owed.
However, Sexyy Red has denied owing him anything. And has now entered the countersuit, blaming him for the theft.
