Rap star Sexyy Red is looking to recoup $500k in damages from one of her former security guards. She alleges that he is responsible for a robbery that took place during a birthday retreat for her mother in January 2025.
Sexyy Red Suing Ex-Security Guard Over 2025 Burgulary
According to TMZ, the Pound Town creator is suing a man named Carl Thompson, who was previously the head of her security team. Stemming from a robbery that took place at a rental home in Florida back in 2025.
According to the court documents obtained by the outlet, the rap star says that half a million dollars in luxury handbags and necklaces were stolen from the property.
A police investigation was launched in the aftermath. And they determined that one single masked assailant was able to gain access to the mansion via an unlocked door. Sexyy Red believes that Thompson is responsible for the burglary because he was the last person to leave the property before the incident.
However, there is an interesting twist to the story. According to a report from Complex, Thompson actually sued Sexyy Red first. In August 2025, Thompson filed a lawsuit over unpaid wages. Upon being hired, the security guard says that he was promised an annual salary of $180,000. And calculated that after working for the rap artist from May 2023 to August 2024, he should have made $285,000. But instead, he was only paid $204,000. And thus, he is seeking to be paid the remaining $81,000 he is owed.
However, Sexyy Red has denied owing him anything. And has now entered the countersuit, blaming him for the theft.
