Sidney Starr is speaking out against her serious allegations. The Love & Hip Hop cast member has been accused of child molestation, sodomy, and battery.
What Did Sidney Starr Say?
In a statement to TMZ, Starr pushed back against her arrest.
“[I] unequivocally deny the allegations against me and intend to vigorously defend myself through the legal process,” the statement reads. “Allegations should not be mistaken for fact, and public opinion should never replace due process.”
Starr also urged people to not blame the trans-community for this incident, saying the case should not be viewed as a reflection of the transgender community. She also stressing one person’s alleged actions should never be used to judge or stigmatize an entire group.
Starr also thanked her supporters for their patience and support, and asked for privacy at this time.
The charges against Starr are very serious as she was arrested at an Embassy Suites Hotel for child molestation, sodomy, and battery. TMZ alleges that Starr performed Fellatio on a boy younger than 16.

The Rumor That Ruined Chingy’s Career
Known for several reality shows including Baddies and Love & Hip Hop, Starr first got on the radar by having a major effect on the downfall of rapper Chingy.
She got a photo with him while he was out, and then said the two were involved. Starr, a transwoman, made the rumor completely up but because she was trans, fans ran with it and the climate of 2010 was not kind to the trans-community, or anyone involved with them.
Chingy discussed the incident in a prior interview.
“I thought it was a young lady who was a fan. She seemed pretty cool. I took the picture,” Chingy said. “Two years after that, I see something come out of some bull crap about this transsexual person was in a relationship with me. I was just like everybody else. I didn’t have a clue at what this person was talking about. When that happened, I lost a lot of stuff based off a lie, which was just the oddest thing I’d ever seen. Nah, man, when the individual apologized, and it so-called went away, which it took years to blow away, nah, man. Ain’t nothing good happened from that for me. That person gained. I’m not gonna hold on to something. It is what it is. Apologize. Cool. I’m going this way and let that individual do their thing… But that situation… that hurt my career. Like I’m just gonna be honest about it.”
