Despite it being nearly a year since the film was released, Caton has remained a household name. He hasn’t appeared in any other film since Sinner, but he has remained a household name. Mainly due to his singing talent.

Despite putting on an award-worthy singing performance in his role of Sammy in Sinners, users in the comments section were still shocked at how well the actor sings.
“Sammy just on the corner singing like this?” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I WILL LISTEN TO THIS MAN’S voice is GOLD,” a second user added.
“Labels and agencies move too slowly for me these days. The minute Sinners dropped, he should’ve been in a studio, recording his first single,” a third user said.
At just 19 years old, Caton was one of the staples in one of the biggest blockbuster films in recent memory. He held his own alongside the likes of acting legends like Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan.
When speaking of Caton, Sinners director Ryan Coogler says even before meeting Caton, he could tell there was something “special” about him.
“You could just tell the kid was special — like, as a person,” Coogler said to Variety. “He was a good enough singer that he didn’t have to finish high school, but he did anyway. There was something to that. I was like, ‘Oh, man, we’ve gotta bring this kid in.’”
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Caton.
