UK rapper Skepta is saying the quiet part out loud after videos from Paris Fashion Week showed 13-year-old North West being greeting by several grown men.
In one clip, filmed at the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show on June 26, North appears to extend her hand for a handshake before 23-year-old model Matteo Sinet leaned in for a side hug instead. The two briefly posed for photos before going their separate ways.
After the video began circulating online, Skepta criticized the interaction on X.
“A blind man could see she wanted a handshake,” he wrote, later adding, “The way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick.”
When some users questioned his reaction, the U.K. rapper doubled down, urging parents to “Protect your kids” and stressing the importance of respecting body language and boundaries.

Sinet later addressed the backlash in the comments of an XXL Instagram post, saying the greeting “happened so fast” and apologizing if it upset anyone. He explained that he greeted North that way because they had exchanged the same greeting during a fitting the previous day.
The incident has fueled wider discussion online after additional videos surfaced showing other adult men getting physically close to North during Paris Fashion Week appearances.
