But he says that a visit to the California Worship Center led him to gospel music legends Erica Campbell and Warryn Campbell, who helped him overcome that. He also posts up in the studio with Erica Campbell, appearing to work on new music.
“Certain things happened that led me to a church in California last year. So I just felt like I needed God in my life,” he said (via @_big_business/X). “Not knowing that the Pastor and the First Lady were music legends, I just appreciated the word because it wasn’t forced, and I didn’t feel judged. Long story short, they got me out of a dark place I was feeling evil… and now we’re family. I don’t even think they know how much they helped me.
Skilla Baby had the full support of fans on social media, who stood behind him, turning over a new leaf.
“Bro survived the sacrifice and gave his life to Jesus, love to see it,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“We all need a solid spiritual foundation, it doesn’t matter what the religion is ..I salute homie,” a second user added.
“Blessing him got out of the dumb shit and put his faith in all the right places.”
Skilla Baby says he has now found God in his life and is in the studio with gospel singer Erica Campbell of Mary Mary:
