Snoop Dogg’s quest to be the side quest king kept rolling on Monday night (January 6). When the Golden State Warriors traveled to Intuit Dome to take on the Los Angeles Clippers.

Snoop Dogg Goes Viral For Commentary During Kerr Ejection

Snoop Dogg was a special guest broadcaster for NBC on Peacock for the matchup. And it went just as many expected it to. During the second half, when the Warriors’ head coach, Steve Kerr, got ejected after he went after a referee, the Death Row Records owner got especially animated.

“Back him up, Steve is ready to fire on him! Steve is banging Inglewood right now! Inglewood!! Get him, Steve, you in Inglewood Steve!” Snoop said as the Warriors coach was being escorted off the floor.

Check out the entire exchange below:

Snoop’s commentary, of course, went viral on social media. And fans were loving what they were seeing from the rap artist.

“If Snoop Dogg isn’t on the call, I might just watch on mute. The man turned Steve Kerr’s crash into a poetry slam. I need him narrating my morning commute,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I haven’t watched one minute of the NBA this year. But if Snoop was on a broadcast team, I’d watch every minute of the game he’s calling,” another user added.

“I knew this was gonna happen when they brought Snoop on. S**t more about to be more about his commentary than the game,” a third user chimed in.

Steph Curry Gets Honest About His Coach’s Reaction

While many felt that Kerr’s reaction to the non-foul call was overblown, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry had a different opinion. In fact, he was elated that Kerr reacted the way that he did. His reaction prevented him from being ejected from the game.

“To be honest, I was going to do that until I saw him [arguing with the ref],” Curry told reporters after the game (via Sports Illustrated). “That’s why I fouled Kris Dunn because I was watching coach go crazy and I was appreciative of that because two crazy calls in a row that you feel like can dictate the momentum of the game, it doesn’t mean a win or a loss, it just dictates the momentum. I love that fired-up Steve, for sure. Somebody had to do it tonight.”
