A Van Nuys Superior Court judge sentenced Soulja Boy to 240 days behind bars and 265 hours of community service for violating his 2014 weapons probation on Tuesday (April 30), according to TMZ. Court records show that Soulja is currently being held at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles.
The report goes on to state that the judge had been weighing giving Soulja with two years in jail but ultimately decided against it, citing the business opportunities he’s been missing out on. Soulja Boy will also reportedly be credited with 40 days of time served.
Soulja was taken into custody earlier in April for failing to comply with his community service demands, where authorities claimed the 28-year-old attempted to forge paperwork to show community service hours that he didn’t actually fulfill in reality.
