The hip-hop media landscape as we know it is about to undergo a major shift. Media personality Speedy Morman is moving on from Complex.

In a social media post on Monday (April 27), Morman announced that he is stepping away from the platform to “go independent.”

Speedy Morman Announces Departure From Complex

“End of an incredible era. After 10+ years, I’ve decided to step away from Complex and my show “360 with Speedy” to go independent and enter into some new partnerships,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.

Speedy began his tenure with Complex in 2016. And his show 360 with Speedy quickly became one of the most popular platforms in the entertainment industry. Interviews with the likes of Kevin Hart, Glorilla, and LeBron James went viral and helped catapult him to superstardom.

Speedy called his time with the network the “honor of a lifetime.”

“Getting to work alongside some of my best friends and travel the world doing what I love has been the honor of a lifetime. Complex has been the best partner I could have ever imagined, and my life has changed forever because of them,” he continued. “Interviewing, hosting, and connecting with people on a deeper level have always been at the heart of who I am. I’m excited to continue to do that with new partners and audiences, and I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years have in store.”

Fans flooded the comments section of the post with well-wishes for the media personality.

“What a legendary run, bro. You were the heart of 360. Go build your empire, the world’s ready for the next chapter,” one user wrote in the comments section of the social media post.

“You’re leaving behind a legacy, Speedy! Always admired your style. I’d say best of luck, but we already know you’re onto bigger and better, king,” a second user added.

“Helluva run! congrats speedy! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store!” a third user chimed in.

It will be interesting to see what’s up next for Speedy.
