The fifth and final season of 50 Cent’s hit series Raising Kanan is set to air on June 12. And if it’s anything like the first four seasons, fans are in for an action-packed farewell season.
STARZ Drops Trailer For Final Season of ‘Raising Kanan’
With episode one of the final season a mere months away, STARZ dropped the official trailer for the final season. And it drops some hints about what to expect. Kanan finally links up with Breeze (played by Shameik Moore. Things appear to have reached a point of no return between him and his mother. And he appears to have formed an unexpected bond with her top nemesis, Unique.

There were a lot of unanswered questions in Season 4. Lou is still battling alcohol addiction, Snap and Pops still have to answer for Sean’s Murder, and Raq is constantly trying to get out of the game. And as for Kanan, we see him turn into a more grimy version of a teen who was already hardened.
In the synopsis for season five, STARZ says that in the upcoming season, Kanan’s “true ruthfulness begins to take shape.”
“Now, in Season Five, Kanan’s (Mekai Curtis) true ruthlessness takes shape. He knows exactly who he is and who he must become to defeat his enemies,” the synopsis reads(via Variety). “Kanan solidifies his place in the Queens drug business. Alongside Southside legend Breeze (Shameik Moore). Their alliance sets the stage for a reckoning that will ripple through every player in this dangerous game. Whether it’s the Thomas family facing the collapse of their reign, Unique (Joey Bada$$) fighting to preserve his legacy, or the Mafia maneuvering behind the scenes, many sacrifices will be made. However, nothing will stand in the way of Kanan’s pursuit of power. After all, this isn’t the end for Kanan Stark. It’s just the beginning.”
It will be interesting to see what this season has in store.
