It’s been six years since Termanology and Statik Selektah released an album together, my how time flies. The emcee and producer duo are back with their Still 1982 out now.
Statik and Termanology come through with a video for the first single, “Still,” which was shot and directed in Cuba by NyjTheOfficial as their first single.
“We were in Cuba with a few friends on vacation to do a photo shoot and realized how unique the vibe was and decided to shoot the 1982 single we had done there,” Statik told Billboard. “That turned into us doing a whole album when we got home.”
“I figured most people will never get to go to Cuba so we wanted to show them how different it was in the video,” Term added. “We can’t find any other US hip hop artists that have shot there on that level.”
