Steve Harvey Warns Young Men Not to Make Diddy’s Mistakes
During a recent appearance on the One On One podcast with Kris Fade, Harvey encouraged the younger generation of men to be a “gentleman” in their romantic relationships. And noted that he had opportunities to make a change, but continued to make the wrong decisions. Which ultimately landed him in jail.
“He was old enough to really get it together. But he didn’t,” Harvey said. “You have to practice acts of kindness. You’ve got to be a gentleman through it all.”
In September 2024, Diddy was swept up by the feds in New York City. Over allegations of trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. In 2025, he was convicted of interstate prostitution of his former girlfriend and label artist, Cassie Ventura. As well as another Jane Doe. Harvey goes on to explain that it’s okay for men to deal with more than one woman. But abuse is never okay.
“Dudes gon’ have more than one chick… But you don’t have to be abusive with it, and abrasive with it,” he continued. “Puffy was doing all this and getting away with a lot. But when that video came out… What are you doing? For you to be a public figure… That’s your reaction to this girl? That’s what we caught on tape… My goodness, what’s been going on when you ain’t in front of the elevator?”
Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in April 2028.
