In the wake of his 2024 arrest, many of Bad Boy Records founder Sean “Diddy” Combs close friends chose to alienate themselves from him. However, one person who is not switching sides is hitmaker Stevie J.
Stevie J Says He Cut Off People Who Switched on Diddy
During an appearance on Flex 98.5 earlier this week, the former Love & Hip Hop star referred to himself as the “only one” who didn’t change up on Diddy amid his federal trial.
“The last year has been quite a ride for me — the last year and a half. As you witnessed, I was the only one holding my homie down. Before he went to jail,” he said, as caught by Complex.
In addition, Stevie J says that he has cut off a lot of Diddy’s one-time close friends who alienated themselves from him after his arrest.
“After all of that, and after seeing who really is truly in your corner, and who’s rocking with you and all that, I left a whole bunch of fake n***as,” he said, adding that he opted instead to just rock with his family.
In 2024, Diddy was swept up by the feds on charges of trafficking, racketeering, and interstate prostitution. Fortunately for the Bad Boy Records Founder, he was only charged with the latter. And after his conviction, he was sentenced to a 50-month sentence in federal prison.
However, that hasn’t stopped Diddy from making efforts to be released. He and his legal team have filed several appeals. Stating that the basis of the conviction was unjust.
He is scheduled to be released from prison in April 2028
