Police have named a suspect in the shooting death of rising Georgia rapper T-Hood. According to an incident report obtained by TMZ, Gwinnett County Police say 24-year-old Ky Lasheed Frost—son of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast members Kirk and Rasheeda Frost—is suspected of killing the Ready 2 Go artist, born Tevin Hood.
Authorities said the fatal shooting happened during a domestic disturbance at Hood’s Snellville, GA, home last Friday (Aug. 8). Investigators say a woman was injured in the altercation, and the gunfire occurred in response to that injury. Police initially considered the case a “possible self-defense” situation.
“The shooter remained on scene at the time of the incident, and both the shooter and witnesses continue to cooperate with investigators,” Gwinnett County Police said in a statement Tuesday.
T-Hood, 33, was reportedly in a relationship with the Frosts’ daughter, Kelsie, at the time of his death. Following online speculation, Kelsie addressed the rumors on Instagram Stories, denying claims that she had asked her brothers to harm the rapper.
“I can’t sit back and let the narrative being created go on,” she wrote. “The love of my life is GONE. The man I lay with and cuddle every single night…is no longer here. I don’t condone this s**t in any way, shape, form or fashion. I am sick to my stomach. I don’t wish this on anyone.”
Police have not announced any charges in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
