T.I. was one of the attendees at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 1). Ahead of the award show, Tip did an interview on the red carpet with Entertainment Tonight. And during that interview he made a significant career update.
T.I. Says Next Album Will Be His Last
T.I. was asked about his new single, Let ‘Em Know, which was produced by Pharrell Williams. Tip revealed that the new track would be the first single for his upcoming album “Kill The King,” which he says will be his “final” project.
When asked why, T.I. responded by saying, “It’s time.”
The Atlanta native was then asked if he would continue to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian. To which he responded:
“I mean, I think I have a lot of gifts that God has given me, man. That I can spend my time and attention on. And spending time with my family. My grandchildren, you know what I mean. There is plenty of stuff to do.”
Tip was accompanied on the red carpet by his wife, Tiny Harris. Harris was asked if she believes that this will be her husband’s last album. And she seemed to think that this was it for the southern legend.
“He’s been saying it for a while now. So yeah I’m going to say yeah.”

However, fans in the comments sections of the social media post had mixed reactions to Tip’s recent comments.
“He has done everything most rappers can dream up.
I believe he has earned this honor,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Retiring from rap is like retiring from wrestling. Them niggas retire 20 times a decade. Lmao,” another user added.
“Even Tiny knows that n****a lying,” a third user chimed in.
T.I. has yet to reveal a release date for the upcoming project. But with this set to be his final album, it should be a classic.
