T.I. teased his retirement at the Grammys last weekend — noting that his upcoming studio album will be the last of his career. But before he says his farewell to the game, he wants to put his catalog on display in a Verzuz Matchup.
T.I. Says 50 Cent is ‘Ducking’ Verzuz Matchup Against Him
Tip was recently a guest on the Nightcap Live Show with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco. When talking about an opponent for a potential Verzuz matchup, he alluded to him previously calling out 50 Cent. But said that the G-Unit founder is ducking smoke.
“I called my man out. I said I wanted 50, but he doesn’t want any smoke, though. He’s ducking smoke, it’s cool,” he said (via @bigbusiness_X).
From there, Tip started talking about a potential replacement for the rap star. And one of the names Tip mentioned as an opponent was rap star Lil Wayne.
“So now here we are thinking about other people who would do it. We mentioned Wayne,” he added. “And Wayne wouldn’t be bad. I respect Wayne. I’m a Hot Boys fan. I feel like that would make some sense.”
T.I. officially calls out 50 Cent and says he will destroy him in a VERZUZ match up on Night Cap with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson:

However, even though T.I. has a short list of potential opponents that he would like to face off against, he doesn’t think it will be very competitive either way. During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, he said he just doesn’t feel that any artist can put their best 20 songs against his best 20 songs.
“So I go against anybody. I don’t give a damn who you got. Bring them on. They can’t f**k with me. Live performance can’t f**k with me. Hit song for hit song, you just can’t f**k with me,” T.I. said (Via Big_Business/X ).
Regardless of who he goes up against, T.I. in a Verzuz would be a treat for hip-hop fans everywhere. With a catalog as extensive as his, it will be interesting to see who Tip chooses as his opponent.
