Rap star T.I. recently appeared on the Joe Budden podcast. As he continues the rollout for his forthcoming last studio album, Kill The King. And during his visit, he made some interesting remarks about him doing a potential Verzuz.
T.I. Claims Verzuz Battles Are ‘Poor People Activity’
When asked about the possibility of him doing a Verzuz in the future, T.I. appeared to be completely uninterested in participating. Regardless of who his opponent might be. According to the Atlanta artist, doing a Verzuz would be “poor people activity.”
“I don’t want to indulge in that side of life anymore. I’m just not interested, bruh. Like ain’t no money over there bruh. That s**t poor people activity,” Tip said in a clip caught by Big_Business on X.
He also added: “I’m 45, bro. What do I look like going back and forth with a man like that for what, bro? Like, why?”
After hearing Tip’s comments, Budden suggests that the Verzuz platform is more of a “celebration of music,” to which the rapper retorts by saying that he could celebrate music by talking about himself.
The conversation then continues with co-host Ice, saying that he was glad that the Verzuz T.I. originally had scheduled to do with Young Jeezy got cancelled. Because he personally felt like the matchup could have gotten “dark” for Tip.
However, T.I. responds by saying that there are not really any winners or losers when it comes to Verzuz battles.
T.I. makes it clear and shuts down any possibility of competing in a Verzuz during his appearance on the Joe Budden Podcast:

T.I.’s comments are ironic. Especially when you consider that his beef with 50 Cent earlier this year started after he claimed that he would beat Fif in a potential Verzuz battle. This led to them exchanging a plethora of shots on social media and in the booth. However, a Verzuz between the two artists never came to fruition.
With T.I. now eyeing retirement, he appears to have a change of heart.
