T.I. is continuing the rollout for his forthcoming album, Kill The King. And he is bringing out the heavy hitters for his upcoming project.
T.I. Taps Dr. Dre For Final Album ‘Kill The King’
During a recent interview with AllHipHop, Tip revealed that he has tapped yet another legendary producer for his 12th studio album – Dr. Dre.
“Dr. Dre blessed me with a record,” Tip said. “It’s a dope record. It’s called ‘Where I’m From.’ Dope record. He sent it to me, and I went to the house, and I laid it. And then I laid another verse, and I went back.”
T.I. has already tapped legendary producer Pharrell Williams for one of the singles on the upcoming project, Let Em Know. And now he has tapped yet another icon in Dr. Dre.
When discussing having Dre on the new project, Tip knows that the record could end up being a gem.
“It’s always for the best outcome, for the betterment of the record. I’m always for someone who I know is dedicated to making the absolute best s**t we can make,” he said.
Tip will be looking to put his best foot forward on this next album. Especially after he said that it would be the last album of his career, during a red carpet interview at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
When asked about his decision to leave his wildly successful music career behind, T.I. says he feels that the time has come for him to focus on his other “gifts.”
“I mean, I think I have a lot of gifts that God has given me, man. That I can spend my time and attention on,” he said. “And spending time with my family. My grandchildren, you know what I mean. There is plenty of stuff to do.”
