Taxstone is already serving 35 years for manslaughter but it appears a couple years just got added to his sentence. On Friday (May 29th) it was revealed that he’s lost another case against him.
What Is Taxstone Getting Sentenced For?
According to Shawn Setaro of Complex, he received a 37-month prison sentence Friday (May 29) in Brooklyn federal court for attempting to smuggle drugs, a weapon, and more into a Brooklyn prison he’s residing in.
The former podcaster reportedly hatched a plan to sneak in a rope made of paper covered in synthetic cannabinoid, over 100 strips of a synthetic opioid, 27 bags of marijuana, more than 400 cigarettes, two lighters, a scalpel, and a cellphone-charging cord. Taxstone admitted to organizing the smuggling scheme, but argued he shouldn’t be locked up.
Prosecutors found out about the plan after the job got botched several times. Despite that, the severity of the alleged attempt led officials to push for 33 months behind bars. They ended up getting an extra 4 months than they were seeking.
Just got out of Taxstone’s sentencing for his attempt to smuggling contraband into the MDC. Story coming soon.
