According to TMZ Tekashi 6ix9ine and his lawyers are hoping that the other co-defendants in the racketeering case will take plea deals so there won’t be a trial, which is set for September which would possibly allow 6ix9ine out of jail in the same month.
Tekashi’s attorney Dawn Florio, told TMZ that, if his co-defendants take plea deals, she will ask a judge to grant 6ix9ine time served since he’s been behind bars since November 2018. If that ends up happening, he might have a good shot to be back home.
As of now, four associates of 6ix9ine—a group that includes Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, Faheem “Crippy” Walter, Jensel “Ish” Butler and Kifano “Shotti” Jordan—have pleaded guilty in the federal racketeering case. At the end of March, 6ix9ine’s former manager, Shotti, called 6ix9ine an “ungrateful rat bastard” for cooperating with the federal authorities.
We’ll just have to see how this plays out.
