The Oscars were supposed to be a night to remember for Teyana Taylor. After scoring her first Academy Award Nomination. But unfortunately, it was overshadowed by a heated confrontation on the red carpet before the star-studded event.
Teyana Taylor Speaks Out After Heated Oscars Confrontation
A clip surfaced on social media on Sunday (March 15), showing Teyana scolding a man for pushing her.
“You are a man putting your hands on a female. You’re very rude, you’re very rude, you’re very rude,” she says in the clip.
Another person in the area appears to ask her what caused the incident, to which she responds, “because he is putting his hands on a female. He literally shoved me … What’s the problem?”

The clip quickly went viral on social media, with mixed responses from fans.
“She has the right to react the way she wants,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Her body, her choice, but she shouldn’t be in the crowd if she doesn’t like to be touched,” a second user chimed in.
“She was only being cautious… but why will the man touch her without consent?” a third user added.
TMZ caught up with the first-time Academy Award nominee to get her two cents about the incident.
“Security was just doing a lot … There’s always that one,” she said to the outlet.
Teyana Taylor earned her first-ever Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 98th Academy Awards (2026) for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. The film, which garnered 13 nominations and took home the coveted Best Picture award.
