For anyone looking for a year of hp hop where you are overloaded with quality hip hop. What a year, as much as people think it was all mumble rap, (it actually pretty much died out this year, yes, we still have heavy trap but not as much mumble) this year was a blessing, if you where not only checking for commercial hip hop.
This year was so overloaded with so much good hip hop that it was very easy to miss. Many say they loved Daytona or Victory lap or K.O.D for album of the year. What I have seen is that many got caught listening to those albums on repeat and would miss the 6 or 7 albums dropping during the same week.
As I did last year this is a chance to shout out all the great albums that drop instead of trying to fight over what was the best (because what really quantifies what sounded the best, right?). Here We Go, I hope 2019 brings in ore underground to the forefront hopefully, but here is your opportunity to look at albums you missed.
