The Weeknd has been teasing a new era in music after dabbling in film and tv. The pop star debuted a new song over the weekend while performing on stage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
What Song Did The Weeknd Preview?
Fans at The Weeknd’s Rio show were in for a treat as the singer debuted his upcoming song “Rio,” to the Brazilian audience. Supported with visuals by Japanese Horror icon Takashi Miike, the song charged up the crowd.
But the surprises weren’t done. As the song played, fans heard a distinct voice featuring on the song, Brazilian superstar Anitta. The Weeknd moved along the stage as the beautiful animated visuals played in the background, juxtaposed with the fire lit sky.
The un-released song, reportedly called “Rio,” does not have a release date yet.
