Too Short Reveals He Has Three Albums Coming in 2025
The rap star recently dropped a project, Sir Too Short Volume 1 (Freak Tales) on April 18. But before that, it has been nearly 20 years since his last album. However, Too Short recently confirmed that he has more music on the way.
During a recent interview with Real 92.3 Los Angeles, Too Short revealed that he has three new albums coming in 2025. In addition, the Bay Area native says that he will also drop a separate “farewell album” before the year ends.
“I’m being honest, I’m going to drop three albums this year. They are already done,” he said.
I might do, what I’m calling the farewell album — the last studio playing album. Not music retirement. I’m probably going to release my last studio album next year (2026).
Too Short also noted that the first two projects will feature two volumes. Both of which will be produced by Atlanta’s own Lil Jon.
“[The first two albums] It is 100% produced by Lil Jon and it’s just me and him recapturing our vibes the way that we do in the studio. And it’s very much complementary to the first one but it’s going to take it up a notch. So if you like that hold on to your seats,” he added.
Too Short also said: “And volume three is the grown-man album that people really just wanted me to put out. You know when you’re talking all grown and all responsible and s**t. That will be the last one before the farewell album.
I’ll be 60 years old. I have a body of work that I can stand up on forever. And I’m going to continue to do shows as well as features and whatever. But I kind of just feel like it is done.”
