Travis Scott’s performance in Coachella Valley may have gone a little over budget.

According to Billboard, Coachella organizer Goldenvoice must pay $20,000 to the City of Indio because Scott’s April 12 set exceeded the 1 a.m. curfew by three minutes.
Goldenvoice maintains a longstanding agreement with city officials requiring the festival to end by 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and by midnight on Sundays. Under the agreement, the city charges a $20,000 fine for the first five minutes the festival runs past curfew.
Travis Scott’s set incurred the only curfew fine during both Coachella weekends and this past weekend’s Stagecoach festival.
In 2009, Goldenvoice paid $54,000 after Paul McCartney went 54 minutes over—at the time, the city charged $1,000 per minute. In 2023, Coachella paid $117,000 in curfew fines just for the first weekend. That same year, Frank Ocean canceled his second-weekend set, reportedly costing Goldenvoice millions. Last year, Lana Del Rey’s 13-minute overage cost the festival $17,000.
During his Coachella set, Travis Scott debuted new solo tracks—tentatively titled “She Goin Dumb” and “Oh Jacques”—as anticipation grows for the release of Jackboys 2.
In an emotional Instagram post honoring his mother’s birthday, Scott hinted that the album’s release might be timed in her honor. “EVERYONE WISH THE BIGGEST GOAT A HAPPYYYY BDAAAYYY THE QUEEEEN OF DIS HERE. MI MOMMMMMMMAAAAAAA LOVE YA MOOMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAA PS I PLAYED HER JACKBOYS 2 SHE SAID DROP ON YOUR BDAY BABY JACK. !!!!!” Travis wrote.
