Travis Scott is adding another major venture to his already decorated portfolio. He is preparing to venture into the film and entertainment industry.
Travis Scott Enters New Partnership With Paramount
In a new interview with Variety, Scott revealed that his company, Cactus Jack, has inked a first-look deal with movie giant Paramount Pictures.
The partnership will allow Scott to develop projects ranging from film and television to other creative endeavors.
“I want to bring back amazing films, pictures and just creative good ideas. And [Paramount’s] not scared to make good ideas,” Scott said to the outlet about the new partnership.
Paramount Pictures co-chair Josh Greenstein echoes the same sentiment, giving Scott his vote of confidence.
“Creativity emanates from every pore of his body. From the way he dresses to the cars to the music to his taste in film,” Greenstein said.
Scott also elaborated about how music and film often occupy the same space. This is what eventually piqued his interest in becoming involved in the film industry.
“I was spending so much on music videos that they were like independent film budgets, and I wanted to figure out how we could make better use of that,” he said. “How can we take long-lasting ideas and structure to make them better than those three to four minutes?”
However, Scott is still keeping the main thing the main thing. He confirmed that he has already started working on his new album.
“I’m working on an album right now, and that’s f******g amazing. And I’m constantly pushing myself to push the sonics to try to make something that I haven’t made before,” he added.
