During a recent conversation, Trick Daddy claimed that Plies wouldn’t be able to stand toe-to-toe with him in a Verzuz without backup. According to Trick, Plies doesn’t have an album strong enough to beat any of his projects in a head-to-head battle.
Trick Daddy went a step further, suggesting that Plies would need to bring in a second artist just to compete, framing the matchup as a potential “two-on-one” situation. The Miami rap veteran stood firmly on his catalog, implying that his longevity, hits, and album consistency would overwhelm Plies in a traditional Verzuz format.
While Verzuz matchups are often celebrated for nostalgia and regional pride, Trick Daddy’s comments add a competitive edge to the discussion—one that’s sure to spark debate among Southern hip-hop fans about whose catalog really holds more weight.
