Kennedy Jr. being is a controversial political figure. So Turk received a lot of backlash over the photo.
“I hope this AI says it ain’t so,” one user wrote in the comments section of the social media post.
“Sad that guy is trying very hard to destroy the black community. I would never support anything you do. F MAGA and U,” a second user chimed in.
“This is the guy who said black children with autism need to be removed from their homes and be reparented!!! This ain’t the flex you think it is!!!!!” a third user exclaimed.
Turk is not the only Hot Boys member to align himself with the Trump administration.
Back in 2020, Lil Wayne posed for a photo with then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. So, with that in mind, Trump and Weezy’s photo was viewed by some as a ringing endorsement. In an April 2025 sit-down with Rolling Stone, Weezy says that the picture was blown way out of proportion.
“There were some people in there like, ‘Y’all should take a picture.’ He didn’t even ask for a picture,” Weezy said.
Wayne also says that he doesn’t care about any of the backlash that he received from others after taking the photo.
“F**k no, I don’t care about no backlash for nothin’ I do, you know me, man. My mama would have been mad if I ain’t smiled. So that might have been the only backlash I would have worried about.”
Other artists such as Nicki Minaj and Kanye West have also thrown their support behind the administration.
