Tyler, The Creator continues to keep fans on their toes.
Just hours after dropping his new album DON’T TAP THE GLASS—his second full-length in under a year—Tyler hit fans with a vibrant visual for one of the standout tracks, “STOP PLAYING WITH ME.”
The self-directed video keeps things minimal but chaotic, with Tyler dancing alone in a bare room as two oversized speakers blast behind him. Newspapers fly across the floor while the Call Me If You Get Lost rapper delivers his verses with animated energy.
Though it’s simple in setup, the video brings some heavy star power. Pusha T and Malice—better known as legendary rap duo Clipse—make cameo appearances in the clip, adding fuel to the fire following their long-awaited comeback. The duo recently dropped their first joint project in over a decade, Let the God Sort Em Out.
One of the most talked-about tracks off that album is “P.O.V.,” which features a guest verse from Tyler himself. His bars immediately sparked debate online, with fans speculating whether Tyler was throwing subliminal shots at Kanye West (now Ye) or Drake—especially in light of recent tensions. Kanye recently dissed Tyler on social media, and Drake is currently involved in a legal battle with Universal Music Group over the rights to his chart-topping hit “Not Like Us.”
But Tyler quickly shut down the rumors. He later clarified that the verse on “P.O.V.” wasn’t aimed at Ye or Drake, but rather a reference to a personal falling out with an old friend.
Also making surprise appearances in the “STOP PLAYING WITH ME” video are NBA icon LeBron James and his business partner Maverick Carter, who both join in on the fun, dancing and vibing with Tyler throughout. LeBron later posted the video on X, showing support for Tyler’s latest release.
NBA icon LeBron James and his longtime business partner Maverick Carter also pop up throughout the clip, dancing and vibing alongside Tyler. LeBron, who’s made it no secret he’s a Tyler fan, even took to X to salute the release, reposting the video with his stamp of approval.
Clocking in at just over two-and-a-half minutes, the video captures the raw and unfiltered vibe Tyler’s bringing on this new era.
DON’T TAP THE GLASS marks another unexpected yet calculated pivot from Tyler, and if “STOP PLAYING WITH ME” is any indication, he’s doubling down on his ability to control the full experience—from the music to the visuals to who he brings along for the ride.
