DJ Khaled is throwing his support behind hip-hop pioneer Luther Campbell, better known as Uncle Luke, as he campaigns for Florida’s 20th Congressional District seat.
Speaking at an event at Brooklyn Chop House on Thursday (May 7), Khaled praised the former 2 Live Crew frontman for his longtime dedication to Miami and Broward County, urging fans to back Luke’s run for Congress.
Luke says his platform is focused on bringing more jobs and resources to the community, including expanding the local shipping port. He also addressed concerns about immigrant communities being targeted under the Trump administration, while pointing to his historic Supreme Court fight over As Nasty as They Wanna Be as proof he’ll defend people’s rights.
With the FL-20 seat currently vacant, Uncle Luke believes his deep roots and influence in South Florida make him the right choice for the job.
