On Wednesday (December 10), University of Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore was relieved of his duties by the University because of an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member.”

In light of Moore’s termination, ESPN analyst Ryan Clark did not hold back on the former Wolverines head coach. Clark says that not only is it a bad look for Moore individually, but he is also making it harder for other potential black coaches to be hired in the future.

“Sherrone Moore was the first African American head coach at Michigan. Now there’s a community of coaches who will be judged because of his action,” he said of Moore’s termination.

Uncle Luke Blasts Ryan Clark Over Sherrone Moore Comments

However, Clark received a lot of backlash for his comments. Most notably from hip-hop legend Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell. Uncle Luke did not hold back when addressing the former Pittsburgh Steelers star.

“You say a lot of dumb sh**t on TV, but this is by far one of the dumbest things that you have ever said,” Campbell started. “When you said that Coach Moore has set back African-American coaches. And he’s a disservice to African-American coaches. That’s a bunch of bull***t …It’s not a setback.

Uncle Luke went on to say that he believes that the network should suspend him for making those comments. In addition, the “Doo Doo Brown” creator believes that Clark is the one making it harder for black coaches to get hired — not Sherrone Moore.

“And here’s what’s even worse about it. ESPN should be suspending your a** for saying some dumb s**t like this. You have just set black coaches back,” he continued. “Because you are giving these people what they want. In terms of them not wanting to hire black coaches. You are flaming the fires. So when the brother goes in and wants to be the offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, head coach, they go and use what you said against black coaches.”

Shortly after his termination was announced, Moore was arrested for alleged assault. Several reports alleged that he went to the staffer’s home, wielding a knife and threatening to unalive her as well as himself.

Moore remains in custody, but he is expected to appear in court on Friday (December 12).
