Vince Staples says that he’s releasing new music this Friday. “GOOD MORNING CITCH WE GOT NEW VINCE STAPLES THIS FRIDAY,” he tweeted. Staples then added that the music will feature Kamaiyah, Jay Rock, and others.
On Instagram, he wrote, “I took time off from recording my next album to make a very special project dedicated to my biggest fan and supporter since day one,” with a photo from his childhood.
Vince Staples has released a project every year since 2014. First there was the Hell Can Wait EP, then in 2015 debut studio LP Summertime ’06, then Prima Donna, and last year Vince released Big Fish Theory.
