Vivica Fox has walked back her previous comments about her former lover, 50 Cent, after his response went viral on social media.
Vivica Fox Walks Back Comments About 50 Cent
After years of having mostly negative things to say about the Power creator, Fox changed course about how she really feels about the rap star deep down.
“You know you got that one that you always got that one that you always got a little special place for. But we are in a good place, and I’ll take the blue pill. Oh my goodness,” she said during a recent taping of Sherri (via 50 Cent/IG). “Remember the time!”
The entire exchange came about after the Two Can Play That Game actress warned women against dating rappers, given her history with 50.
“Don’t date 50 Cent, don’t date no damn rappers,” she said. “Just so you know, it took me years to be able to laugh about it. I had to learn to laugh, not to cry no more, but I did it.”
It did not take long for the Power creator to catch wind of Vivica’s comments. And once he did, he took to social media to weigh in.
“Either way I’m a have that ass in the matrix, you know I love me some you girl, but Damn it’s been 22 years Vivica,” he wrote.
However, Vivica maintains that her comments were taken out of context.
“I didn’t say you couldn’t play with them,” Fox said. “You acted like I was on the picket line. Every time somebody asks me something, I say, ‘Don’t date 50 Cent.’ That was not it. What happened is I said, ‘Vivica, if you could tell your 17-year-old self anything.’ That was me, like, I wish I knew not to go public so fast, not to have it out there, not to have the breakup that’s lasted 22 years.”
