A Delaware judge has ruled that the trust established by The Notorious B.I.G.’s late mother, Voletta Wallace, is entitled to more than $12.5 million in distributions from Notorious B.I.G., LLC, the company managed by Faith Evans. Interest could bring the payout close to $14 million, according to published reports.

In an October 27 decision, Chancellor Kathaleen St. J. McCormick determined that the trust was owed $12,518,336, plus interest compounded quarterly.
The dispute centered on when the trust became eligible to receive distributions associated with Wallace’s ownership interest. Although it formally became an LLC member in December 2025, the judge ruled that its financial rights extended back to Wallace’s death on February 21, 2025.
Evans’s side sought to limit the payment to $48,612, citing a separate challenge involving the trust’s representative, Wayne Barrow. The court rejected that argument and ruled that the distributions were due to the trust.
A judge just ruled that Faith Evans must pay $14 million in profits from The Notorious B.I.G.’s estate to the trust set up by his late mother, Voletta Wallace. https://t.co/1M3chAlnSl
