Wale is gearing up a return to music and has found a new label home by signing a deal with Def Jam Records.

According to TMZ, Wale inked a contract with the legendary label several months ago, but had kept it under wraps until now.
The D.C. native is set to kickstart the next chapter of his career with the release of a new single on Friday (October 20), which he teased on social media earlier this week.
“My silence has been golden….see you on Friday,” he wrote on Instagram. “Folarin back.”
He also seemingly alluded to his new deal by writing on his Instagram Stories: “There’s no potential in a friendship that comes with intentions.”
