Westside Gunn appears to be sick of the rumors surrounding Griselda. And recently took to social media to put all of those circulating rumors to bed.
Westside Gunn Claps Back at Jay-Z, Griselda Rumors
During a recent episode of the Rory and Mal podcast, Mal suggested that Jay-Z had dinner with Griselda Members Westside Gunn, Benny Da Butcher, and Conway The Machine. During that meeting, Mal says that Jay-Z suggested that Gunn give 10% of the company to Conway and Benny. Buy Conway disagreed with Hov’s suggestion, which caused a rift between the group members.
Gunn responded to a clip of Mal explaining the story shared by Big_Business on X, and said there was no validity to Mal’s claim.

However, even though Westside Gunn denies the story, a recent freestyle from Conway suggests otherwise. Conway recently dropped a freestyle to Drake’s Make Them Pay. And part of the freestyle appears to align with Mal’s claim.
“Dinner with HOV, he said, dawg give ya brother a piece. I saw it in his eyes right then, he doesn’t want me to eat,” he raps on the track.
Elsewhere on the track, he talks about how a trip to Greece last summer really allowed him to reflect on his rap career. And the role that him being a part of Griselda played in it.
“I did a lot of reflecting when I spent last summer in Greece. Thinking, if I weren’t for Griselda, what would I be? Or what would Griselda be if it weren’t for me? I used to want the rap glory, but all I want is my peace.”
