Oscar Award winner Will Smith has found himself in legal trouble to kick off 2026. In a legal filing, violinist Brian King Joseph made several bombshell accusations against Smith. And his management company, Treyball Studios Management, Inc. The accusations include sexual harassment, predatory behavior, wrongful termination, and retaliation.
Will Smith Responds to Bombshell Allegations
However, in response to the allegations made by Joseph, Allen B. Grodsky, an attorney for the Bel Air creator, says that the allegations made against his clients are categorically false.
“Mr. Joseph’s allegations concerning my client are false, baseless, and reckless,” Grodsky told PEOPLE in a statement on Thursday. “They are categorically denied. We will use all legal means available to address these claims. To ensure that the truth is brought to light.”
In the complaint that was filed back in December, the plaintiff accused Smith of “deliberately grooming and priming Mr. Joseph for further sexual exploitation.” After being invited on Smith’s tour for his latest project, Based on a True Story, which dropped earlier this year.
Joseph says that after being invited on the tour in November 2024, he discovered that someone had entered his Las Vegas hotel room. Without his permission, showing no signs of forced entry. Upon entering the hotel room, Joseph says that an individual left a note on his nightstand. The note read: “I’ll be back, Brian. Just us.”
In addition, the culprit left behind “wipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, a bottle of HIV medication with another individual’s name, an earring, and hospital discharge paperwork belonging to a person unbeknownst to”
Shortly before submitting the filing, Joseph posted a video on his social media account. Where he revealed that he was supposed to be appearing on a “major tour with somebody huge in the industry.” He went on to reveal that “some things happened” that resulted in him being nixed from the tour.
Now it appears that we have a lot more clarity about who he is referring to.
