Wiz Khalifa Takes it Back to Mixtape Era for Album Rollout
Wiz Khalifa raised hype in early 2024 when he revealed the sequel was “done and going into mixing.” To capture that classic feel, Wiz brought back original producers from K+OJ, including Cardo, ID Labs, and Sledgren.
The new album also features contributions from Mike WiLL Made-It, Juicy J, Jason Martin, DJ Quik, Lex Luger, and more. In addition to the aforementioned names, the 23-track project also includes OT Genasis, Luh Tyler, Curren$y, Chevy Woods, and others, promising a diverse and star-studded lineup.
Ahead of the release, Wiz dropped two new tracks on March 28: “5 Star” featuring Gunna and the “Walk It Off” freestyle. He’s been active in 2025, releasing freestyles like London Layover with Plaqueboymax, Roll It Up over Kendrick Lamar’s Squabble Up, rapping over 2Pac’s “So Many Tears” and Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky”—proving the blog rap era is alive and well.
